We had such an amazing time hosting the very talented Rashan Jones out from Albuquerque, New Mexico for a demo & lesson weekend to help out local artist community learn some new techniques behind the torch. The lesson focused on helping soft glass lamp workers transition into borosilicate flameworking. Here are a few shots from our fun times in the TFT studio with Mr. Jones, Enjoy!
Had a great lesson with Robert covering a variety of techniques working on Borosilicate glass. With support from our amazing industry sponsors we were able to offer some outstanding materials as well as a very affordable pricing for the 3-day workshop. Covering a variety of processes involving Solid & Hollow Forms, Seals & Welds, Opals, Dichroic Glass, as well as Lapidary for grinding and polishing. Thank you very much to all of our Participants and Supporters for helping to make these events possible!

Some great action shots captured today of our resident artist Keshav hard at work making some beautiful sparkly dot-stack hollow sections. Very Clean!
Max dropped into the studio to make a very large beer mug using 85mm diameter heavy-wall tubing. He added a black and white Wig-Wag section to the bottom of the mug to add some style and class to the piece.
Kirill came by the studio to do some sculptural work as well as some repair work in the skutt. It was great to watch him work on some very nicely shaped kangaroos!
Gibson Glassworks having a great time doing a full day glass demo at TFT. He was lots of fun to have in the studio and had some great energy and knowledge to share with the viewers
A true murrini master came out to the studio and gave a fantastic two-day hands on murrini class. It was an honour to have such a talented artist break in the studio with the first In-House lesson. Thank you very much Mr. Dave Strobel for teaching an outstanding murrini class!
